Louisville AIDS Walk
Text that will be added to your email:

Dear Friends,

HIV/AIDS affects us all. With almost half of our region’s HIV cases reported right here in Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana, chances are you know someone who is positive—a friend, a loved one, a coworker, maybe even you yourself. Their lives are deeply impacted by their status in countless ways: health management, medical costs, legal needs, social stigmas and biases. Many have been lost to HIV/AIDS. But, with their legacy to strengthen us, we join together to support those still in need.

I am asking you to join me in the fight against this terrible disease.

Since 1993, the Louisville AIDS Walk and Pet Walk has united our community in celebration, remembrance and support. This is your chance to help in the local fight against HIV/AIDS. What will YOU do?

• Will YOU make a donation today at

• Will YOU urge your employer to become an Louisville AIDS Walk Sponsor or to form a walk team?

• Will YOU commit to walk in the Louisville AIDS Walk on Saturday, August 27, 2016?

• Will YOU sponsor someone who is walking?

• Will YOU volunteer to help promote the Louisville AIDS Walk or help the day of the walk?

There are thousands of HIV positive people in Louisville who have benefited from the Kentuckiana AIDS Alliance, the coalition of regional non-profits that are funded in part by the Walk.

With advancements in the medications given to people with HIV/AIDS means people are living longer. This means the need for programs to meet basic human needs (such as medical care, housing, food, transportation, dental programs, legal services and counseling) is increasing. The number of new HIV cases continues to rise, while the resources to help are dwindling. The struggle is NOT over. Your support and participation are needed now more than ever … until there is a cure!

Thank you for your time!
