About Our Organization
The Louisville AIDS Walk and Pet Walk was founded in 1993. It is Kentucky's largest fund raiser for HIV/AIDS. Dozens of volunteers are working hard to make the 23rd anniversary of the Walk a huge success. Funds raised at the event ensure those in need continue to receive the food, medication assistance, housing, emergency financial assistance, housing, counseling, legal assistance, support groups and other support services provided by a diverse group of local non-profit organizations. We are a 501(c)3 Public Charity, so all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our organization, officially the Kentuckiana AIDS Alliance doing business as Louisville AIDS Walk, was recently reviewed by the Better Business Bureau's Charity Review Service. We are proud to report that the BBB has determined that we meet all 20 of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance's Standards for Charity Accountability. Click here to see our profile page on GuideStar where we are have been verified by their 'Charity Check' program. Join our fight! Get a team together with others in your organization, church, school or business. Get members of your family to walk with you and help you reach your fund raising goal. Volunteer to help produce the event. Sponsor someone who is walking. It's a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon … and, most importantly, the men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS need your help!
