The Louisville AIDS Walk was founded in 1993. It is Kentucky's largest fund raiser for HIV/AIDS. Dozens of volunteers are working hard to make the seventeenth anniversary of the Walk a huge success. Funds raied at the event ensure those in need continue to receive the food, medication assistance, housing, emergency financial assistance, housing, counseling, legal assistance, transportation to and from medical appointments, educational / healthy living / life skills workshops, a monthly fellowship dinner, spiritual retreats, support groups and other support services provided by a diverse group of local non-profit organizations. Since it's founding in 1993, Louisville AIDS Walk has had an overall expense rate of only 11%. We are a 501(c)3 Public Charity so all donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Our organization, officially AIDS Services Center Coalition, doing business as Louisville AIDS Walk, was recently reviewed by the Better Business Bureau's Charity Review Service. We are proud to report that the BBB has determined that we meet all 20 of the BBB Wise Giving Alliance's Standards for Charity Accountability.
